Three new WS hardware accessories
A flash cartridge, a Bluetooth RevivalGate module, and a USB-C dongle for the EXT port. Coming soon!
Update, 2026-10-14: the RevivalGate module now connects over USB-C instead of Bluetooth. Here’s why.
I am currently in the process of developing three physical accessories for the WonderSwan.
My custom flash cartridge will load games from a microSD card. It will have a full start-up menu that supports boxart, will support all Wonderswan games, and keeps track of all your saves. Revision B is almost ready for prototyping. Once prototyping is finalized, I will likely begin pre-orders with a first batch of 100 carts.
The RevivalGate Bluetooth module will hopefully be the first bluetooth replacement for the original 2001 WonderGate adapter. The adapter will connect to your phone or computer to allow your Wonderswan console to connect to my replacement RevivalGate servers. This one is the furthest along currently and will likely enter prototyping within the next few days.
The USB-C EXT dongle will allow you to dump cartridges through your console’s EXT port and will also support my RevivalGate service when connected to a PC/Phone. With two dongles, you will be able to link two consoles via USB-C for local play. It will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. This design is basically finished, but has been placed on a slight hold while I rush to finalize the bluetooth module.
