USB-C EXT dongle
Plugs into a WonderSwan Color's EXT port. Dumps cartridges with the console as the reader, links two consoles, and puts a WonderGate game online through a computer.
Most cartridge dumpers need a cartridge socket, and a new WonderSwan socket would cost thousands to tool. This dongle skips the socket: the WonderSwan Color reads its own cartridge and streams the ROM and save over the EXT port. Carts stay in their shells, and the console isn’t opened.
The console needs a small loader installed once in its internal EEPROM. After that you insert a game, plug in the dongle, and copy. Each dump is checked against No-Intro.
Because the dongle speaks the same serial protocol as ExtFriend, it also works as a WonderGate adapter with a computer in the middle, today, with no extra hardware.
The housing is an L shape that runs up the console’s right side, so it stays out of your hand.
